Learn how to weave like the ancient nomads of long ago! Peg loom weaving is said to pre-date the Viking era and is a highly portable, low-tech form of weaving that requires no tension on the loom. Peg looms can be used to make rugs, table runners, blankets, scarves, mug rugs, seat cushions, trivets, and more! During this beginner class, students will learn how to warp, begin and continue weaving, and how to finish out a weaving project. We will complete four 8” trivets during our class time using washed wool locks and roving. Learn more about the looms and see other weaving examples at aoiremaith fibre studios.
