    Back Home Again- Alpaca Tencel

    This is the first of our local naturally-dyed yarns, created in partnership with Indiana farmers. This luxurious yarn is made from fiber of the Suri alpacas raised by Heritage Farm Alpacas in Flora, Indiana, blended with tencel for added durability and breathability. This yarn has lovely drape and a light, silky touch — perfect for shawls and wraps.

    Back Home Again - Cormo

    This is the second of our local naturally-dyed yarns, created in partnership with Indiana farmers.

    This luxurious 3-ply yarn is made from fiber of the Cormo sheep raised by Westfield Woolies in Westfield, Indiana, and is next-to-skin soft and so bouncy. Back Home Again-Cormo is a worsted weight yarn, with approximately 166 yds/100g.

    Pure Merino

    Pure Merino is a regionally-sourced, superfine, untreated merino wool. This yarn, spun by our friends at Red Hill Fiber, is so squishy and soft! We currently have 3 weights available.

    Luxurious, yet practical, this base is 80% superwash merino, with 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon, which gives the yarn a soft feel with enhanced washability.

    Tweed Sock

    Superwash merino (85%) and donegal neps (15%) make a fun tweedy texture. This is fingering/sock weight 438 yards/100g.

    This base is great for light tops and shawls - perfect for spring and summer knitting and crocheting. Flaxen is composed of 50% baby alpaca, 25% linen, and 25% silk.

    Nature's Splendor Merino Silk

    This yarn has a truly luxurious feel, made of 85% Fine Merino (non-superwash) Wool/15% Silk in a Worsted Weight (200 yds/100 g). Nature’s Splendor is a special collaboration between Hoof to Hanger Fiber Mill in Bridgman, MI who produces the base and Color Me Happy Fiber Arts Studio in Fishers, IN who naturally dyes it.

    This base is 60% Superwash Merino Wool/20% Yak/20% Silk. The yak provides incredible softness and the silk a lovely drape and shine. This is the perfect yarn for a special shawl or scarf, or for a truly amazing garment that requires a fabric that flows and drapes beautifully.
