We designed this pattern to be a quick gifting project to demonstrate the bond between friends, family, and partners. The ‘XOX’ cable motif is a nod to the abbreviation for ‘hugs and kisses,’ where the Xs represent kisses and the O hugs.
You will need:
Needles: US8 (5 mm) needles; straight or cable with at least a 24-inch cable
Double-pointed needle for cabling (I like to use a slightly smaller dpn) and holding provisional stitches
Gauge: 1x1 rib stich: 16 stitches in 4 inches
Yarn: ~50g/~85yds Color Me Happy Pure Merino Aran-weight superfine merino
You will need a small piece of scrap yarn for the provisional cast on
